浙江科技学院是一所以工科为主，集工、理、文、经济、管理、教育为一体的多学科全日制省属本科院校，在国内外具有重大影响力的教学研究型大学兼应用型大学。其前身为成立于1980年的浙江大学附属杭州工业专科学校。学校坐落于历史文化名城杭州市，现有2个校区，占地面积1680亩，主校区位于小和山森林公园，被誉为“杭州最美丽的大学”。设有12个二级学院，3个教学部（中心），45个本科专业。2009年学校顺利成为硕士学位授权立项建设单位。
